  1. Cybersearch was really fun and challenging. I googled, talked to friends and even called outsiders. I used google to start, so if I could find an answer on google that would be great, but if not I would have to ask other people if they could help or knew the answer. If not, I looked for a number to call to find out information. Actually on the first day I knew a friend whose cousin worked at Best Buy, so I called my friend AJ Bastler and he asked his cousin about how many DVD formats there are. His cousin looked at the stores inventory and asked his boss, so he got an answer for me.

I believe the farther into the game, the harder it got. I honestly did not know how to find the answer for question number 26, because all I had to go off of was that it was a monkey and it was famous somehow. The easiest question for me was numbers 21,22, and 23 because I didn’t even have to research anything.

    1. I have to disagree number 26 was one of the easiest numbers for me. That is impressive that you were able to think of someone who knew the answer. I definitely could not think of that. I agree with you on numbers 21,22, and 23. They were the easiest.

    2. I liked how you used your connection with your friends to get answers on the phone. I didn't use that method but I really should try it. It's much more convenient than trying to look for answers online. Also, number 26 wasn't that hard but then again, people have different opinions.

    3. I agree with starting with google! If it was found on google it was so much easier but not all awnsers were found there which made it even harder.

    4. I think it's cool how you called your friend and he called or talked to his cousin who works at best buy and asked his boss to get the answer for you. Thats very far to get the answer but it worked for you.

    5. Everyone thought this Cyber Search was going to be easy just by typing the question into Google and all of the other search engines. Asking fmaily members or family for the answer is a great solution if you can't find these on the web.

    6. The cybersearch did get allot harder as we contuined and i though that it would be really easy

  2. I really liked doing the cyber search. At first I started off just using Google. As the questions started to get even harder I asked my parents and some of my teachers. For question number 26, I copied the picture of the monkey and pasted it into Google image search. This linked me to pages that had the same picture of the monkey. I was able to find out that it belonged to Justin Bieber and it was seized by the Germans. I used Google image search for a few of the questions.

I say the hardest questions for me were towards the end. Question number 30 was really hard. I could not find anything about it. Everyone I asked had no clue. The closest thing that I found to an answer is that Australia is in need of teachers aged 35. The easiest questions for me were question numbers 17 and 26. Those were the easiest because I just Google imaged them to find the answer.

    1. I agree that number 30 was really hard. There was not enough information on the internet to get the correct answer. You could not narrow it down to a certain number or country, unless you tried a different resource.

      Delete
    2. That's very cool you can use Google like that, have I known that I most likely would have done that myself. Also I have to agree that the number 30 was quite difficult to find.

  3. It was entertaining but after some times, it just got annoying. The first thing I did was to ask my friends because researching on the internet may not be accurate. I, however, did use Google several times when my friends did not know the answers. Asking teachers was my third way of researching. I must admit, I needed to be more specific when it comes to asking the question. One of my teacher gave me the wrong answer because I was not detailed enough. Question 26, that monkey belongs to Justin Bieber. I honestly thought it belonged to the zoo or some kind of circus. I had to be one hundred percent sure so I asked the people around me and they told me that German confiscated monkey belonged to Justin Bieber.

For me personally, the most difficult question is 28. I loath History. It clogs up my brain with things that made absolutely no sense. Anything with History makes me frustrated, ask me a question about history and I can guarantee that I will not give you an answer. I thought question 17, 9, and 29 was quite easy because not a lot of research was needed. All I had to do is ask.

    3. I agree with you that cybersearch was interesting, but sometimes it was hard to answer the questions with a busy schedule. Though I tend to disagree thatg it was hard to answer question #17. I really didn't have any problems with it.

  4. This Cyber search was pretty fun I guess. It was very easy in the beginning. All I did was copy and paste the question right into the Google and, the answer would just pop right up. But then as more days went by the questions got extremely hard. I would try to find them online. But when I couldn’t I would ask my friends. If my friends didn’t know, I would just tell me partners to do that one.
I would say #19; the football guy was the hardest. I was on Wikipedia and nothing came up. I kind of got mad, well more like annoyed. The easiest question would have to of been the Tesla question. I knew that one right of the top of my head. And people thought he was “crazy.” He was just a brilliant guy that talked to aliens.

    2. I would disagree on number 19. When you put your mouse slightly on the picture without clicking on it, it shows who the man is. He was Jerry Golsteyn. Then Google his name, and his stats and background information will show. I found my background information on Wikipedia.

  5. While searching for awnsers in the cybersearch contest it was very hard to find them. I thought it would be
easy by just searching them up on google but the awnser would not pop up. In one of the questions my teamate
asked her dad because he was an engineer and knew a lot about computer information. I asked Mr. Owens one of
the questions because I knew that he would know it since he was a history teacher. I also asked one of my
classmates that knew about football if he knew the awnser to the sports questions. _ Alondra

I think the questions that requiered history dates and events were very hard because there were lots of events
that happend. The easiest one to me was probable the history one too though because i got easy help with it. The
5 point questions were also easy. - Alondra

  6. I think the cyber search was fun and I think as the end got closer the questions got a lot harder to find and answer.
Many of the questions I looked up on google and ask.com.
And I think the hardest question was number 30. I asked my parents and they had no idea what the answer was. But I asked my moms friend and he helped me find the answer.
also # 19 was difficult for me to cause I don't know that much about sports but my moms friend helped me out on that. Kyle konitzer

  7. In cyber search for my research in the beginning all I had to do was put it into bing.com and the answer would pop up. After the first week the questions started to get really hard. Half of the time I would ask my parents and they knew a few of the answers. For the one on the grave yard I was so confused. I’ve never seen that before even though I was on the football team last year I didn’t notice it. I asked my dad if he knows where it was and he said no. So I started to ask a couple of teachers and Ms. Alicy knew that it was the one down the street. So I went on Google maps and sure enough that was it. I had a lot of fun trying to find the answers, it was like a t.v. game show.

The easiest ones had to be the first week. It pretty much took no effort and you could find them really easy. I had a really hard time with the questions about West Allis because I live in Muskego and I didn’t have a lot of people except for teachers to ask about those ones. I also got really confused about the questions that just had pictures because you can’t just put a picture in Google and look it up. You have to describe it in detail and put everything that’s going on in it.

  9. 1. What I used when I was researching was google and the telephone. Some of the questions were very heard at times to the point where I would give up. The one question that I got stuck on was which woman was the first woman to be buried in the Honey creek cemetery before it became one. I solved this answer by calling the cemetery and they told me who was buried first in Honey Creek cemetery before it even was one.
    2.
The question I thought that was pretty difficult was one of the weekly questions. The question was what was the machine pictured below. Finally I gave up on it I had no idea what it was. However the next day I walk into class and the teacher tells everyone what it was, I was ashamed I couldn’t of thought about what the teacher said.

  10. Overall, Cybersearch was an amazing experience. It taught me different ways on how to research many things besides "Google".

Most of the questions, I found to be quite logical and I just engine searched key words throughout each daily question. For example, #29 was by far the easiest question. I read between the lines, I thought, prima reminds me of "prima ballerina" So, I automatically assumed she was a ballerina. So, I searched "World's First Ballerina".

There was some challenges down the road, but I managed to get through it. One of the key techniques I used was for question number 26. The question included a picture of a baby monkey and we had to figure out who the owner was. It was hard to really search through Google, but I found a way. I copied the picture into Google Images, and many websites containing that photo appeared. Surprisingly, it was Justin Beiber's monkey who was ordered to stay in Germany because he didn't have authorized papers that Mr.Bieber was his owner.

    1. The cybersearch was really fun ! I like the fact that we can wotk in teams because my team was great . I think the cybersearch has taught me that their is another way of finding out other things and the goggle isnt the only way . I did alot of goggleing and asking questions my grandma was some one i asked plenty questions and my parents ,friends and teachers
I think the most easiest question was number four because i just typed in the key words and the answer popped up and the hardest to me was number thirty because i didnt even know where to start at i was so confused

  11. 1. Of the questions i did answer, i asked my cousin most of the questions and he found them for me. i did find one in a magazine about what computer chips were made of though. it was hard because i don't have much access to computers so i couldn't submit all of them. the ones i did do i researched well and made sure my answer was clear.
    2. I think the question about black history month was the easiest because all you need to do was ask a history teacher and they could give you the answer.

  12. I thought the cyber search was a great opportunity to learn how to work in a team. I also like how it helped us use some of our thinking strategies to find the answers. In my case when I would answer the questions I would use the internet and some of my knowledge. I will confess that I mostly used Google but I think that if I would have used other sources, it would have been easier to answer. For example, on question number 17 I used my background knowledge to figure out the answer. I knew I had seen that cemetery before, so I immediately recognized it.
In my opinion, I thought question number 26 was the hardest because when I would look up for people who had a pet monkey, I could not find anything and I also did not know where to start. I thought question number 17 was the easiest to answer because I already knew that cemetery.

I used the internet for most of the questions. I would type in key words from the question and see what websites came up. Some of the questions though I used background knowledge I had, like the last day of questions, the question about Charles Carroll, I remembered we have Carroll College in Waukesha.
One of the most difficult questions to answer was the last weekly question. It was, Invented at the University of Pennsylvania, what is the name of the company who will sell the machine pictured below? This question was difficult to answer because I couldn’t find the right answer. When I tried to look it up it gave me a bunch of other inventions/ experiments of other colleges. One of the easiest questions to answer was the Day #8. This was easy to answer because the answers were current events, which not only made it easier to answer, but we were learning current events in history.

  14. I thought that the cyber search was an amazing way to learn how to work as a team and to find different ways to research. The questions were easy at first, but then they got harder and harder as it went on. The first few questions I used google, but then I had to use different resources such as my grandpa because he knows a lot of history. A question I had a problem with was number 26. I was getting frustrated because I could not think of anybody that had a pet monkey. As I was researching this on google my sister came along and she is a HUGE Justin Bieber fan so she instantly knew that the monkey belonged to him.

  15. The cyber search was pretty fun, but most of the time it was difficult to work with for me. What I and my partner used in our research was mostly Google, but once for the very first one we used my dad because he's a computer technician. So the first one was pretty easy! I'd usually cut the question in half and use different parts of the question to find the answer for most of them. Like for day 9 #29 I typed in who was sublime prima, was born two months premature and see who shows up. Then ask in the next tab, girl who lived in St. Petersburg, had arched feet etc. and see if both the questions I asked matched. I think #19 the football guy was one of the most hardest to me because I don't really know much about football and I didn't know we're to look to help my teammate out. The easiest questions were the ones I got helped on. -Ashley Trepanier-Paletti

  16. 1.The cybersearch contest was fun but it was kind of hard. I had to do alot of things on the computer and was on the computer for all most a whole day. The easy wat was to searching them up on google but the awnser would not pop up. On the sports part of the cybersearch I asked my tio because he's like a freak when it comes to sports, he loves sports. He told me what the answers was but he told me to look them up to check if he was right. He only got one of the questions wrong. Good thing i checked the answers. Alot of the questions I looked up on the internet and yess it was lots of help.

    2. The question I thought was kind of hard was when they asked was the monkey one. I didn't know if I should look up monkeys at a zoo or call. I was kind of confused that you were asking us about a monkey. I thought to my self that this monkey is really important to someone.

The hardest questions I would have to say were when it was the culture questions, those were hard and I didn’t find someone to help me with the answers.
The easiest questions I would have to say were the ones of west allis because my neighbor knew a lot about it and he gave me the answers.!

  19. A majority of my research was with Google, my mom, or my grandparents. Google was an o.k. use for researching, but not very reliable. It could tell me more than one answer to one question. My grandparents or mom could help me more because they knew it. Like for sports, my grandpa is always watching sports, so I could ask him about it. Questions that involved the 1900’s, I could ask them because I hoped they would possibly know.

The questions I thought were most difficult were the Cultural or Literature. Mainly those two because they’re my weaker subjects, and more difficult to find for me. The Sports were easier because i could ask grandpa, again, or just ask a friend that’s good with their sports and knows everything about it.

  20. My cyber search research was mainly used with my grandparents or the internet. For one of the questions it had asked how many forms of a DVD there were. I went in Google and looked at how many there were and kept looking at different answers the majority of the answers were 6. So i used six as my answer.

I think the most difficult part was hoping that the person who was supposed to do the question for the day does it and not being a sore loser if they had gotten it wrong. The questions that were the hardest had to be the weekly questions and week two of cyber search. I couldn't Google them anymore and i actually had to try to research the answers
